What is Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel?

It was released in January 2023 for various platforms, including PC, consoles, and mobile devices. In Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, you can create your own decks from a variety of cards, ranging from classic ones like Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon, to newer ones like Borreload Dragon and Sky Striker Ace - Raye. You can also open packs with in-game currency or real money to get more cards. You can then test your skills and strategies against other players online in ranked or casual matches, or against CPU opponents in solo mode. You can also participate in events, tournaments, missions, and achievements to earn rewards and rank up.

Why Play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Offline?

While playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel online can be fun and competitive, there are also some drawbacks. For example, you need a stable internet connection to play online, which may not be available or reliable in some places. You also have to deal with issues like lag, disconnects, hackers, cheaters, toxic players, and pay-to-win mechanics. Moreover, you have limited control over your duels, as you have to follow the official rules and banlists, and you cannot customize the game settings or the cards' appearance.

That's why playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel offline can be a great alternative. By playing offline, you can enjoy the game without any internet connection or online issues. You can also access features that are not available in the online version, such as:

  • Custom duels: You can create your own duels with any rules, settings, and conditions you want. You can also choose any CPU opponent from the game's roster, or even create your own custom opponents with their own decks and personalities.

  • Open packs: You can open unlimited packs with any cards you want, without spending any money or currency. You can also edit your collection and decks as you wish, without any restrictions or limitations.

  • Modding: You can modify the game's files and assets to change the game's appearance and functionality. You can also download and install mods from other users, such as new cards, skins, sounds, music, backgrounds, and more.

As you can see, playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel offline can offer you a lot of freedom and creativity, as well as a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. Once you have downloaded the ZIP file, extract it to a folder of your choice. You should see a folder named "YgoMaster-master" with several files and subfolders inside. This is the main folder of YgoMaster.

Step 2: Copy the YgoMaster folder into the game folder

The next step is to copy the YgoMaster folder into the game folder of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. To do this, go to your Steam library and right-click on Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. Then, click on "Properties" and then on "Local Files". Finally, click on "Browse" to open the game folder in your file explorer.

In the game folder, you should see a subfolder named "YuGiOh_MasterDuel". This is where the game's files are stored. Copy the entire YgoMaster folder into this subfolder. You should now have two folders inside the "YuGiOh_MasterDuel" subfolder: one named "YgoMaster-master" and one named "YGOPro".

Step 3: Run YgoMasterClient.exe and YgoMaster.exe

The third step is to run YgoMasterClient.exe and YgoMaster.exe from the YgoMaster folder. These are the two executable files that will launch the game offline using YgoMaster. To do this, go to the "YgoMaster-master" folder and double-click on YgoMasterClient.exe. This will open a command prompt window that will start the local server for YgoMaster.

Then, go to the "YGOPro" folder and double-click on YgoMaster.exe. This will open another command prompt window that will start the game client for YgoMaster. You should see a splash screen with the logo of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and then a menu screen with the options of "Online", "Offline", "Deck Edit", "Replay", and "Exit".

The fourth step is to customize the server settings and decks for your offline duels. To do this, go to the menu screen and click on "Offline". You should see a screen with the options of "Single Mode", "Match Mode", "Tag Mode", and "Back".

Before you start a duel, you can click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the screen to access the server settings. Here, you can change various options, such as the game mode, the master rule, the banlist, the starting LP, the starting hand, the draw count, and more. You can also enable or disable features, such as animations, sound effects, voice acting, and chat. You can also set a password for your server if you want to prevent others from joining.

You can also click on the deck icon at the top left corner of the screen to access the deck edit. Here, you can create, edit, or delete your decks using any cards you want. You can also import or export decks from files or codes. You can also open packs with any cards you want by clicking on the pack icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.
